Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on WordPress but my laptop has been playing up and wouldn’t let me get onto my blog! I have a few things to blog about, especially a few photos from the latest wedding I did with David Christopher so I am excited to share them with you guys! I have also decided that it’s time to get myself a website as my own portfolio so if any of you know of any good websites and tips please comment and let me know, would really appreciate any advice 🙂

P.S Here is a sneak peak from Saturday’s wedding, how amazing is this Rolls-Royce?!

Travel Wish List – Italy

Seeing at how sunny last week was, it has only gone and made me really excited for the summer! I love Spring but Summer is just an excuse to book your flight and go somewhere amazing. Italy is definitely on my Travel Wish List. There’s so many places I want to visit and Italy is at the top. It looks like such a beautiful country with amazing architecture, would be so amazing to photograph! Many people who have visited have said how amazing it is out there, the food, the language (the men)…it’s a must!!

Studio Work

A couple of weeks ago I practised my photography using studio lights, it was so much fun I can’t wait to use them again! It’s difficult trying to get the lighting you want at first but then you get the hang of it. I teamed up with Ellia who is an aspiring MUA and we hired ourselves a little studio in Greenwich for a couple of hours. Our model was great too, she came on time and was so friendly 🙂

I feel like I could get better photos next time but I will keep practising using studio lights until I get the perfect photos, practice makes perfect! We did three different looks and decided to do mostly headshots just so that the makeup was the focal point. Please have a look and feel free to let me know what you think!

The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour – Beyonce 2014

I bought tickets for her tour this year at the O2 and she was absolutely incredible. I got to see her perform last year at V Festival but I wanted to experience her full concert, instead of standing and waiting for her in the crowd for about 6  hours! Every single performance was perfect and she just looked so bloody amazing, especially when she performed ‘Partition’ (omg) from her new album…and if you’ve seen the video for it you’d know what I mean! The seats were pretty close to the stage too which was just great as I got to visually see her strutt her stuff. I must say when she started singing ‘Drunk in Love’ the atmosphere was  unbelievable and it only got more exciting when Jay Z  appeared and began to rap, the whole arena was buzzing!

P.S I couldn’t get any better pics than this!

London Fashion Week – Street Style

Continuing from my previous post, here are some street style outfits from LFW. Which ones are your fave?

London Fashion Week

As most of you know, this time last week was London Fashion Week which I managed to go to. It was held at Somerset House and I was asked to go for the day to take some photographs of the event. The weather was pretty miserable for the whole day, it rained non stop but I was so distracted I didn’t realise I was drenched until I was back on the tube…

I’ve always wanted to go just to witness and be part of the atmosphere which  was so amazing considering it was only the first day! It started off being a little empty in the morning but once it hit lunch time hours it was so busy, people were taking photos everywere – I was in my comfort zone! Pretty much everyone made an effort, maybe some a little more than others…

I will do another post on a few of the street style photos, but for now here are the rest of the photographs from the day 🙂

Joanna and Vincent’s Wedding – Photographer’s Assistant

A couple of weeks ago I was asked to help and assist a photographer, David Christopher for the day. My job was to help him with changing lenses and generally be of assistance and get great shots of the bride and groom. I was also there to be a second pair of eyes to give him my opinion on what I think should be captured and things that he may have missed. I took my camera on the day, my 85mm lense (as that’s the best one I have for now…) and I was able to capture my own photos which I am very grateful for. We were there from 8:30am till the evening and even got to capture the first dance!

Working with David was a great experience, I learnt so much just from working with him for a day and was given some great tips. I love his work and look forward to working with him again! If you haven’t already looked through his website, make sure you check it out http://davidchristopher-photography.co.uk/

The wedding was hosted at Wotton House in Dorking Surrey, such a beautiful place!! Have a look through my photos from the day, hope you enjoy! xx
